Strongest chess engine at last!

I think that we won't need other testings, a least for sometime!
As you see in TCEC's Match 6, Rybka 4 proved that it (or she!) is the strongest chess engine in long games (real games) clearly.
Last result after 32 games is:
Nr  Engine                   Pts     SB
1 Rybka 4 64-bit 6CPU        17.5    253.7500
2 Ivanhoe B50tA 64-bit 6CPU  14.5    253.7500

Will Netflix Destroy the Internet?

According to Sandvine, a network management company that studies Internet traffic patterns, 10 percent of Canadian Internet users visited Netflix.com in the week after the service launched. And they weren't just visiting—they were signing up and watching a lot of movies. Netflix videos quickly came to dominate broadband lines across Canada, with Netflix subscribers' bandwidth usage doubling that of YouTube users.

Rybka 4 vs Houdini 1.03a - Longer games

GUI: fritz 11
opening book: perfect 2010
Child process priority for Rybka 4: Normal
Hash size: 319 mb
Large pages for Rybka 4: disabled
CPU: AMD X2 3800+(~2 GHz)
Permanent brain: disabled
Use tablebases: enabled
Blitz:1'+30"
1   Deep Rybka 4 w32        1½10½½  3.5/6
2   Houdini 1.03a w32 2_CPU 0½01½½  2.5/6

Next time, without tablebases:

1   Deep Rybka 4 w32        ½½1½½½  3.5/6
2   Houdini 1.03a w32 2_CPU ½½0½½½  2.5/6
10 games maybe not sufficient, but it seems to me that Rybka 4 is stronger in long time control.
In these games i see that Houdini 1.03a has a bad time management and don't use it's time. For example while Rybka has 38 seconds to think(in the middle of game), Houdini has more than 4 minutes! It is strange that such very strong engine hasn't good time management!
I should run some different tests.
However Rybka 4 is stronger in these games.
good luck

Hackers accidentally give Microsoft their code!

When the hacker's system crashes in Windows, as with all typical Windows crashes, Heckman said the user would be prompted to send the error details — including the malicious code — to Microsoft. The funny thing is that many say yes, according to Heckman

10 minutes blitz

After 26 games.
Blitz:10'  0

1   Deep Rybka 4 w32         +7/-6/=13 51.92%   13.5/26
2   Houdini 1.03a w32 2_CPU  +6/-7/=13 48.08%   12.5/26

Rybka is 13 Elo stronger.
It seems that Houdini 1.03a tuned for 5 minutes or less
and for longer games it is weaker. running 20 or 40
minutes games should be interesting decision.
Note: it is possible that 26 games is not sufficient.

Houdini 1.03

GUI: fritz
5 minutes games
Book: Rybka3Gen.ctg (optimize)

After 180 Games

Program                                     Elo      +     -    Games  Score    Av.Op.  Draws

  1 Houdini 1.03 w32 2_CPU       : 3178   36  34   111     55.9 %   3137    70.3 %
  2 IvanHoe-Beta-999955m-Beta : 3146   32  33   126     49.2 %   3151    71.4 %
  3 Deep Rybka 4 w32                 : 3129   33  34   123     45.5 %   3160    69.9 %

It seems Houdini 1.03 is strongest among these engines and it is very fast.
